New edition of CARTAVÍ Awards

The Hotel-Hostal Sport won the Cartavi award 2012 to the restaurant with best wine list in the category B (prices between 18 and 40 euros)
It is organizing a new CARTAVÍ Awards (means "wine list" in catalan), which recognize the work of the restaurants to promote Catalan wines among consumers and professionals of wine.
Last year, in the restaurant of Hotel-Hostal Sport we got the award for the best wine list in the category B (prices between 18 and 40 euros) and is in the hands of customers that back to win this year.
Currently, the wine list of Hotel-Hostal Sport has 238 references worldwide wine with a clear predominance of wines from DO Montsant and DOQ Priorat.
In reference to the new edition of the Awards, will keep the same format as last year. In this way, the general public may propose, through the web www.cartavi.cat, restaurants deserving of these awards.
Voting is now open and the process for proposing restaurants end on September 30. The awards ceremony is scheduled for October/November.
What is the CARTAVÍ awards?
It is a contest that celebrates another year with the main objective to distinguish Catalan restaurants which promote the Catalan wines, of any of the 11 denominations of origin in Catalonia.
The Catalan Wine Association annually organizes these awards with the aim of encouraging the presence of Catalan wines on restaurant menus located in Catalonia and promote knowledge of the wines produced in the Catalan wine regions.
