Comunica 2011, an interesting wine to taste by the glass

At Hotel-Hostal Sport we continue with the recommendations of wines you can drink in our bar and restaurant. In this case, we speak about a fresh and tasty wine from DO Montsant

The best way to know the Priorat is experiencing the sensations that transmit each of their wines. At Hotel-Hostal Sport we are aware of it, so we offer you the opportunity to taste a wide range of wines to discover real gems of our region. 

Today we present the Comunica 2011 wine, one of the new additions to our wine list. It is a red wine from DO Montsant, devised by two winemakers, who decided in 2010 to start his own winemaking adventure. Thus was born the cellar Comunica in the Falset area under the mountains of Llaberia. 
 
This wine has an intense cherry color with violet hues, middle layer and good intensity. In the mouth enters fresh and unctuous, giving off fruit flavors and flowers, herbs and menthol.
 
Features: 
  • Soil: Sand granite 70%, 30% clay-limestone. Height 370 meters above sea level. 
  • Varieties of grape: 35% Grenache, 35% Carignan - Samson -, 30% Syrah. Vineyards of 20-70 years. 
  • Climate: Mediterranean dry. 
  • Vinification and aging: Maceration and fermentation in small tanks between 12 and 18 days. Aging in stainless steel tanks on lees for 10 months.
