In the restaurant of the Hotel-Hostal Sport we continue incorporating Priorat's references in the wine list of 2014, also including limited edition wines.
This is the case of Les Tallades Cal Nicolau 2010, wine from DO Montsant produced in the Orto Vins winery, located in the village of Masroig.
The "Tallades" is in the term of Garcia, cultivated practically by winegrowers from Masroig. There, the maternal grandfather of winemaker Joan Asens, Nicolau, bought a property of about 2,5 ha where 0.1742 ha had a very special vineyard.
Features of wine:
- Preparation: Wine made with long maceration of 28 days and aged for 12 months in barrels of three years of French oak.
- Soil: mostly calcareous ground.
- Grape Variety: 100% Picapoll Black.
- Production of 2010: 694 bottles.
- Life Expectancy: Optimal timing of consumption over the next 10 years.
